Sculptor Jerry Geier
creates a world of terra cotta characters that have evolved from the
depths of the artist’s subconscious mind. His sensitivity to the
human condition and the world around him enable him to create
moving, even joyous sculptures of ordinary people.
Formerly a successful
lawyer, Geier first became interested in sculpture as a hobby. He
studied drawing and sculpture at the University of Vermont, and
drawing and painting with Harrison Hampel. His talent led him to a
new career as an artist, and he now sculpts full time.
