An award winning architectural photographer, Bill Lyons has excelled as a commercial photographer for more than twenty years. He studied at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California, earning a degree in color technology and went on to establish one of the first digital photographic studios in Baltimore before moving to Cape Cod in 2002.
On Cape Cod Bill began his transition into fine art photography and found an immediate and popular following for his work.
His new “Convergence” series is a culmination of his photographic career—both technically and artistically.
Using his precise photographic eye, years of traditional darkroom experience and state of the art digital printing skills, Bill has produced a striking series of digital black and white images that capture graphically abstract architectural studies normally passed without notice by thousands of people every day.
He feels that the title “Convergence” applies both to the content of these images as well as his journey in photography resulting in their creation.
